Students earn core credits (English, math, science, social studies) while taking career classes at IGNITE. It is our intent to prepare all students for the rigor of the workforce and post-secondary instructional programs.
Core teachers in English, math, science, social studies spend time in each career class, and collaborate with career instructors to provide high quality educational opportunities.

Students demonstrate reading and writing skills while learning about careers related to welding.
Technical reading and writing are necessary for HVAC/R technicians. Students earn English credit while they learn to become technicians.
Students demonstrate use of the Pythagorean theorem while constructing a roof at White Floral Garden in Woodbine.
Students analyze social media account statistics for business partners in the area and provide suggestions to improve social media marketing performance.
Students demonstrate understanding of animal life cycle while raising and caring for livestock at IP Land & Cattle Co.
Science and health care are a perfect match. Students learn and apply biological science in their Certified Nurse Aid classes.
Students identify historical factors that surrounded the Apollo 13 mission and compare to present day aviation industry standards.
Students learn first-hand how government regulations and EPA restrictions impact the automotive industry and auto repair shops.
The main level of the new building will feature a two-story community space as well as office spaces for staff. Three classrooms will also be located on the main floor: Social Media/Marketing, Early Childhood Education, and Aviation.
A business incubator space will also be available for organizations to rent office space. This area may be used for industry training and development.
On the second floor of the new IGNITE Pathways building, you will find additional learning lab spaces for Health Science, Agriculture, Business, Engineering, and Information Technology.
Heavy equipment and health services simulators will be located on the second floor, providing training opportunities for students and adult learners.
The 2-story presentation/performance hall features state-of-the-art technology and will be used by IP students, classes and community.
Learning labs and a commons area will be located on the lower level of the building. The lab area will consist of 4 classroom spaces for introductory automotive, welding, advanced manufacturing, and construction classes.
IGNITE provides hands-on learning and training opportunities with industry-specific advanced simulators.

Class sizes have a low student-teacher ratio (10:1 or fewer) to provide each student with a unique, personalized education experience. Students grow in their abilities to communicate, take initiative, accept responsibility, understand discipline, and act with accountability.
