IGNITE GIVES BACK

IGNITE Gives Back is a meaningful initiative through IGNITE Pathways that empowers students to apply their classroom skills in real-world community service projects. These projects are designed to be completed within four hours and require minimal supervision from instructors, allowing students to take initiative and work independently. By participating in IGNITE Gives Back, students not only enhance their learning but also contribute positively to their communities, making a tangible impact with their skills and knowledge.

"The City of Woodbine looks forward to working with IGNITE Pathways on future projects through the IGNITE Gives Back program and encourages other groups to participate.  I believe it is very important to develop relationships with other community groups, which can lead to future partnerships.  This is a great way to foster those relationships plus set examples of ways to work together to get results.  So many more things can be accomplished for the betterment of our community if we all work together and do our part."

HOW IGNITE GIVES BACK WORKS...

  1. Project Request: Community members fill out the request form to propose a service project.
  2. Project Review: Students review available projects. If a student is available and capable, an IGNITE representative will contact the project owner to discuss the project.
  3. Preparation: The student works with the project owner to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available; the project owner must provide all tools, materials, and equipment.
  4. Execution: The project must be completed within four hours and require minimal supervision from an instructor.
  5. Contract Agreement: A contract agreement is filled out by the customer, outlining the project details and completion plan.
  6. Completion and Documentation: Upon project completion, the customer provides a photo with the student and the finished project. Additionally, a blog post is written to share the experience.
  7. Donations: There is no charge for the project, but donations to IGNITE Pathways are greatly appreciated.
