Course Description

Explore Health Occupations is an introductory course that will introduce students to various career opportunities in healthcare. Guest speakers, site visits, and hands-on activities in the health simulation lab will bring learning to life for students.

Topics of Study

Students will explore various health care occupations including, but not limited to, the following areas: 911 Dispatch, EMT, Paramedic, Firefighter, Flight Team, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology Tech, Sonography, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy, Surgical Tech, Dental, Physical and Occupational Therapies, Audiology, and Nursing.
