The Natural Resources class at IGNITE Pathways is ideal for students passionate about the environment and interested in learning how to protect and manage our natural resources. This course offers a hands-on exploration of Iowa's waterways, landforms, and conservation practices, providing students with the skills needed to make informed decisions and become responsible stewards of the environment. Course Description

Natural Resources class is an opportunity for students to learn about the animals and plants of our native environment. The class will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about natural resources while becoming better stewards of those resources.

Topics of Study

  • Iowa waterways, landforms, and conservation structure

  • Evaluate Iowa conservation practices

  • Write a habitat management plan
