CHILD CARE CERTIFICATIONS

The Child Care Certification class at IGNITE Pathways is perfect for students interested in making a positive impact on young children's lives by becoming qualified early childhood educators. This course provides hands-on skills and prepares students for the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, the most widely recognized certification in early childhood education. Ideal for those passionate about child development and safety, this class is the first step toward a rewarding career in early childhood education, offering essential knowledge in child care safety, health, and emergency procedures.

Course Description

The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education (ECE). The CDA is based on a core set of competency standards that guide early childhood professionals toward becoming qualified educators of young children. Students will get hands-on skills while building a working portfolio. This course is the first step to receiving State of Iowa Pre-Service training certifications.
