Interested in understanding how people grow, learn, and change throughout their lives? Human Growth and Development explores the physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of individuals from conception through late adulthood. In this course, students examine key developmental milestones, major theories of human development, and how culture and society influence growth across the lifespan. Using current research, students will gain a deeper understanding of how people develop and interact within families, communities, and diverse cultural contexts.
Human Growth and Development examines the physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development of the human lifespan from conception to death while utilizing current research. The course examines human interactions with society related to community and cultural contexts.
