Interested in learning how businesses promote products and influence customer decisions? Principles of Marketing introduces students to the strategies companies use to connect with consumers and build successful brands. Students will apply the 4 P’s of Marketing—product, price, place, and promotion, analyze marketing environments, explore consumer behavior, and examine the role of ethics and social responsibility in marketing decisions.
Principles of Marketing concerns the role of marketing in society, consumer behavior, product management, distribution, pricing concepts, strategic planning, and promotional activity within a business environment.
Apply and display knowledge of the 4 P’s of Marketing
Analyze the components of a marketing environment.
Demonstrate an awareness of ethics and social responsibility.
Analyze consumer behavior.

Students may choose to go into the workforce immediately following graduation. Their industry certifications and IGNITE experience will qualify them for entry level positions. With advance training at a community college or traditional 4-year college, social media marketing majors can anticipate higher career positions at $20-$50/hour.
